Privacy Policy

PlateMaker is made by KVdS media. It doesn't collect any data about you.

No data collected

PlateMaker has no account, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking and no third-party SDKs. It doesn't connect to the internet: your photos and settings never leave your Mac.

What stays on your Mac

PlateMaker remembers your settings (such as your export choices and last preset) and the folders you've allowed it to use, inside its own sandbox on your Mac. Deleting the app removes them. It never changes your original photos.

Your exported files

Exports carry metadata copied from your originals, such as camera, lens, date, location, keywords and captions. Turn on “Remove location, contact details and serial numbers” in Settings > Export to leave the private parts out. Anyone you share an export with can read its metadata.

Links

A few buttons (Help > Acknowledgements, and the DNG Converter suggestion for some Nikon files) open web pages in your browser. Those websites have their own privacy policies.

Crash reports and TestFlight

If you've chosen in macOS to share analytics with app developers, Apple may send us anonymous crash reports. If you test a beta through TestFlight, Apple shares your name, email address and any feedback you send, under Apple's TestFlight terms.
